| Since 1990 American Electric Power Company has been attempting to construct a 765 KV power line through southern West Virginia and southwest Virginia. One community after another has been succesful in stopping the line. Unfortunately AEP found new routes and new communities to threaten. It is a long, sad story. APPAL is opposed to building the line anywhere and is determined to stop it once and for all. AEP wants supply its coffers with profit not the people of Appalachia with power. | |||||||||
