Bland County is accepting applications for a County Administrator. An excellent opportunity to live and work in Southwest Virginia in a rural, but very progressive locality. Bland County has an annual budget of $18,500,000 and a population of 7,000. The Administrator reports to the four elected Board of Supervisor members. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is desired. Applicants must have considerable experience in managing the affairs of a local, Virginia government including but not limited to budget preparation, land use planning/zoning, economic development, infrastructure development and state/federal grantsmanship. The successful applicant must have proven leadership and supervisory skills. The salary is dependent upon qualifications.
