Robert Batey Allen was born, probably in Washington County, Virginia, on 16 July 1827 to Thomas and Elizabeth (Snider) (Crow) Allen, who were married 11 January 1821. He had two brothers, Samuel Green Allen and William Townsend Allen, and one sister, Elizabeth Ann McAllister Allen. He also had two half-siblings: Jane Crow and John Harvey Crow, from his mother's first marriage to John Mackey Crow of Wythe County, Virginia. On 10 May 1849, Robert B. Allen married Paulina Jane Killinger, the daughter of Michael and Susan (Morris) Killinger. Robert B. Allen died on 28 September 1896 in Smyth County, Virginia. |
James Harvey Bonham was born in Tazewell County, Virginia on 2 August 1829 to Hezekiah and Sarah "Sally" (Kinser) Bonham. Hezekiah was the son of Nehemia and Rachel (Kerr) Bonham. Sarah was the daughter of George and Katherine (Wampler) Kinser. James H. Bonham had many brothers and sisters: Ann Eliza, Regina, Augustus A., William P., Sarah J., Elvina, and John Albert. On 2 January 2, 1856, James Harvey Bonham was married to Martha Louisa Peters in Giles County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Thompson H. and Nancy (Bolton) Peters. James H. Bonham died on 22 December 1904 in Bristol, Virginia. |
Michael Killinger was born in Pennsylvania, probably Lancaster County, about 1789. He was the son of George and Mary Margaret (Wampler) Killinger. George Killinger served as a militiaman during the Revolutionary War. The Killinger family migrated to Wythe County, Virginia in the early 1800s. Michael Killlinger was married, before 1826, to Susan Morris. Her parents are as yet unknown. Michael Killinger had many brothers and sisters, including: Elizabeth, Catherine, Mary, George, Peggy, Molly, John, Jacob W., Sally, Christina, Ann, and Peter. Michael Killinger died on 24 February 1866 in Smyth County, Virginia. His widow died in 1879. |
